In April of 1999 Becky and I took a 7-day cruise to the eastern Caribbean aboard Carnival’s Paradise. Our cruise itenerary included stops in San Juan, Tortola, Virgin Gorda and St Thomas. Of course we enjoyed the cruise; we just aren’t planning to purchase a vacation home at any of the “exciting” ports of call.
Paradise Atrium
From two glass elevators Paradise guests can enjoy the opulent, 10-story atrium, pictured above. The view from the top floor was breathtaking. On the atrium's floor, there are a bar and a grand piano. What’s even more exciting than the view is the fact that everything you see is floating.

Paradise Stateroom
Our stateroom aboard Paradise was spacious compared to the our stateroom aboard The Royal Majesty. Each night when we returned from dinner and a show, our cabin steward left a towel folded in the shape of an animal. Here you see a crab. Becky and I slept like babies in this cozy stateroom.

Becky Shake
Becky enjoys a strawberry shake compliments of Paradise’s frozen confection bar. A delicacy we both enjoyed were nectarine-sized strawberries dipped in white chocolate and again in dark chocolate. There was no shortage of high-flying sweets during the whole cruise.
